Tursun Hafizuly Gabitov Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of Cultural Studies, Vice-President of the Kazakhstan Philosophical Congress.All scientific and pedagogical activity of Tursun Gabitov is connected with the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where he worked his way up from assistant (1971) to professor. In 1971 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics of KazGU. Tursin Hafizovich defended his PhD thesis in the Dissertation Council of KazGU (1977), and his doctoral thesis also at KazGU (1997). From 1986 to 1988, Tursun Gabitov was sent to the Republic of Afghanistan as an adviser to Kabul University. After the independence of our country from 1991 to 1995, Tursun Gabitov he headed the first department of cultural studies in the republic, which further contributed to the formation of national cultural studies.In 2009, Tursun Gabitov was awarded the Order of "Kurmet" for merits in the field of science and higher education of Kazakhstan. Tursun Gabitov is the holder of the state grant "The Best university teacher" (2007), the state scientific scholarship for outstanding contribution to the development of science and education in Kazakhstan, the laureate of the competition of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The Best author", the competition of the "Union of Scientists of Kazakhstan" for a great contribution to the development of science, technology and education of the republic. Textbook of Tursun Gabitov's "Culturology" in the competition of the Ministry of Culture and Information was recognized as the "Best Book of the Decade of Kazakhstan" (2001), he is a laureate of the International Book Fair "The Great Silk Road" (2006). Tursun Gabitov's textbooks, according to a survey by the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are among the most popular books in Kazakhstan.Tursun Gabitov is the author of more than 80 individual and collective monographs, textbooks and manuals, encyclopedias, dictionaries, author of more than 600 scientific publications. His works on the history of philosophy and ethics have been published in Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Under the scientific supervision of the professor, 6 doctors and more than 40 candidates of sciences, 5 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) have been trained.
